I have moderate to severe Crohn’s disease. Since I started seeing Veronica/Ascential Acupuncture and receiving acupuncture treatment about a year and a half ago, my symptoms and flare ups have reduced dramatically.

I have had neck and shoulder issues for years. I have done physical therapy several times, cortisone shots and X-ray guided cortisone shots to deal with pain. The pain always returned and sometimes even worse. I was referred to a pain management doctor which just prescribed drugs that kept me in a daze all day and night but still in pain. My sister told me to try acupuncture and so I went for a consult with Veronica. We talked for awhile then I decided
to start treatment that day. I was desperate, I was in pain, was not sleeping and having some anxiety issues from going off the prescription drugs. With each treatment, my sleep patterns improved, my shoulder and neck pain is almost non- existent. I have energy for my busy day and with no pain. I feel so fortunate to have found Veronica. I had went to an acupuncturist for a few years for my back, neck issues and overall health. Unfortunately he moved to Texas and I was hesitant to find another. Then I saw a groupon and signed up and it was a miserable experience. That same week a friend at work told me about Veronica and I have been receiving treatment for over a year now. I have visited Veronica on several occasions for treatment of lower back pain and heel pain. Each time I visit I am surprised by the effectiveness of the treatment. I don't really understand how it works, but it does work! I find the treatments to be very relaxing and enjoyable and always notice positive results very quickly. I was skeptical about acupuncture at first, but Veronica has proven to me that it really does work. I started seeing her for “nervous tics” (Tourettes). The tics are still there, but not nearly as often or intense. I would say about 70% to 80% better on most days, but I have not been seeing her for very long and I am very happy with the progress so far. I mentioned one day that my blood pressure has been inching up. It had been running about 140 over 94, with a resting pulse of about 100 beats per minute (this is normal in my family). After one treatment my blood pressure was down to 125 over 75. Amazing!! My BP hasn't been this low for a decade or so!! After a couple of treatments, not only has my BP stayed down, but my resting pulse is at about 80 beats per minute now. Finally, I injured my knee about 3 months ago. After two treatments on my knee the pain is completely gone. If you are considering acupuncture, I HIGHLY recommend Veronica !!!

Veronica was referred to me as a last effort to decrease my chronic pain. Upon my initial consult, I think both of us were surprised at my extreme sensitivity to the acupuncture needles. Slowly, I made improvements in both my body's tolerance to the needles, and my ability to function throughout the day in my job and my daily routine. Because my pain fluctuates so much, Veronica insisted I get another neurological opinion. She researched a physician referral for me at The Cleveland Clinic and sent me the link to make the arrangements. Veronica loves her job and it shows! Sometimes as Americans we are “afraid” to “live outside of the box” when it comes to medicine. I’m the same way, but at the same time I am willing to put forth the effort to try new things. When I met Veronica at an event recently and found out that she was an acupuncturist I thought to myself “hmm, I’m skeptical of this….But at the same time I have been having these horrible pains that no medicine has been able to treat”. So I mustered up the courage and booked an appointment with her for both myself and my fiancé. It started with Veronica asking us both a series of questions to get to know us and our ailments, then proceeded to tell us about what she was going to do and was very good at explaining everything to us along the way. During our consultation we were in this beautiful calming room, with calming music, and calming smells.My fiancé was a tad bit nervous about the needles so I went first. You would think that getting needles stuck in your ears, forehead, top of your head, hands, etc. would hurt. NOPE! It was virtuously pain free, even my fiancé said “that wasn’t bad at all”! Its going to take us a few visits before we start to feel results completely but last night I slept like a baby and woke up refreshed and ready for the day. Usually at this point in the day my pain is right around a 10, but it is sitting steady at a solid 4. I am a total believer in acupuncture now and if you were ever questioning it before, stop! I did too and I can tell you that now I am a TOTAL believer in this old form of medication. Hey, if its worked for 4,000years before me something must work with it! I had lower back pain. Veronica did an acupuncture treatment and I have not experienced any pain since. She explained everything she was doing. I experienced no pain from the needles. As a matter of fact, I could not tell from the feeling exactly what she was doing. She is great and I would recommend her to anyone.

I have believed in alternative medicine since the 70's....(in other words, if it can be done withoutmedication, it's my first choice). I believed in the healing power of acupuncture well before meeting Veronica nearly two years ago. I was very happy to hear that she was staying in town after her graduation. Veronica continues to help me heal my body. She listens! Truly listens to what my issues and concerns are and from our conversations creates an individualized plan for each treatment. There are different types of acupuncture; she help the total person (body, mind, and spirit). If you are afraid of the needles, give her a chance.
