We all have cravings of different types of foods, but did you know that everytime you get a craving for something it's your body's way of telling you that you are lacking an important vitamin or mineral?
Recently I talked about the link between chocolate cravings and magnesium deficiencies. Here is a chart that goes over different cravings and what vitamin or mineral they are linked to. I've seen a lot of people that are trying to lose weight recently and one thing that's important is recognizing those cravings and then giving the body what it really needs by eating healthy foods that contain that deficient nutrient, and will also curb the craving. Also for those with addictions, when you are craving tobacco or alcohol your body is also deficient in an important nutrient so if you're trying to quit smoking try supplementing Vitamin C or eating more nut snacks throughout the day.
